Overview[]
Prestige is a late-game mechanic which allows you to access higher level breathings and abilities. To prestige, you must be at max level, which will be 50 at Prestige 0. Then, you must talk to Murata at Kamakura Village and accept his offer.
After Prestiging, you will lose everything except for your Family and Inventory, you will get 2 family rerolls (These don't stack), and your Prestige count will go up by 1, to a max of 10. This means you will have to restart the game from the Tutorial.
When you Prestige, you will require 20% less XP needed to level up, and your level cap is increased by 5. These bonuses stack, meaning each time you Prestige, you will level up faster, and have more skill points to allocate toward your respective Skill Trees, therefore making you stronger in the long term.
Prestiging at least once allows you to learn Sun Breathing and have access to Slayer Marks when you reach level 50.
Prestige | Level Cap | XP required to level up |
---|---|---|
1 | 55 | 20% less |
2 | 60 | 36% less |
3 | 65 | 48.8% less |
4 | 70 | 59.4% less |
5 | 75 | 67.2% less |

Notes[]
- Drinking a Wipe Potion does not reset your prestige.
- You need to get to your max level to prestige again. This depends on what Prestige you are currently at. You can use the table listed above to help.
- You won't lose Gamepass Items such as the Nezuko Box or Sabito's Mask when you Prestige.
- Your first name WILL be randomized according to the gender you select after you Prestige.
- Not recommended to buy the Kamado Nichirin due to it being removed afterward, unless you are maining a specific Breathing Style and are at the Prestige that gives you the max level required to fulfill all your Skill Trees.
- You keep the same clan you had before you Prestiged.
- Before Update 5.0, Prestiging used to remove any items you had in your inventory, excluding Gamepass items.
