“ | "Yoriichi... when you smiled, I couldn't help it... but I always found it disturbing. And when we were talking about how there were no successors for the various breathing techniques you suddenly started viewing things with strange optimism and you smiled. In my conceit I believed that only our generation was special. I felt sick with disgust and irritation. What did you find so amusing? [...] What is so amusing about imaging such a future? Just thinking about losing makes me boil with anger." |

Moon Breathing (
Moon Breathing is a very skill-based breathing style. It's moveset revolves around multi-ranged combo extenders and instantaneous attacks, making it ideal for combos and poking. However, it's overshadowed by other Breathing Styles/BDA that have more block breakers, iFrame moves or easier-to-perform combos.
Moon Breathing has shown to be insanely effective against Flame Breathing/Sun Breathing considering the fact it has one of the best defense capabilities on par with Water Breathing
Moon breathing comes with a high cost, requiring 33 skill points to unlock all moves. This means that maxing out all three demon skill trees with moon breathing requires 89 skill points (prestige 8)''.

By clicking "Ee biko!", you will obtain Moon Breathing with no further quests.

Combos
Notes:
- Many of the combos require you to breath while your opponent is ragdolled.
- If you have trouble getting M1s on your opponents, use Moon-Dragon Ringtail then Rush into them.
- Moon Spirit Calamitous Eddy should be used last on every combo due to the knockback.
- It is preferred to rush into opponents after using Moon-Dragon Ringtail.
- If you have kendo mastery, add an extra M1 to each M1 combo. If you have lunge, use it before M1 combos if possible.

Trivia
- As of Patch 2.05, Fourteenth Form has been nerfed so it cannot one shot players.
- In the Patch 2.8, Moon now no longer requires Prestige 1, Instead they now require 50+ Levels and being a Hybrid.
- This however, made the Tokito clan less useful, as the perk for learning moon without prestige has been removed after said update.
- Moon Breathing is the only Breathing Style in-game to not possess a Slayer Mark.
- The passive of Moon Breathing still wasn't implemented until Patch 2.4.
- When Half-Moon was added, for roughly 1 hour after release Half-Moon suffered the same bug as the old 14th form, landing multiple hits on one person, causing it to deal roughly 130 damage until it was patched the same day.
- In the manga, Sixteenth Form is actually a barrage of six curved slashes crashing down to the ground which is several meters away from its user, leaving craters in its wake, but the Sixteenth Form in-game seems to be a reference to one of Kokushibo's demonic traits, and that is the ability to create flesh swords either out of his body or his katana. This technique is also present within the manga as well.
- Best paired with Kanroji or Iguro families.
