Hybrid Breathing Styles are Breathing Styles used by former Demon Slayers or Hybrids. These breathing styles have been enhanced and infused with a Blood Demon Art (not proven to be true in-game), causing their colors to change/transition into something more sinister and evil. However, these recolors are purely cosmetic and doesn't give out a buff whatsoever.
Note: Moon Breathing is not included, even it is a breathing style exclusive to hybrids.
~The tyrannical dark thunder summoned by the blood red sky, its strikes has killed multiple lives of the innocent for their naivety.
Dark Thunder Breathing (黒い雷の呼吸,Kuroi Kaminari no kokyū?) is a demonified version of Thunder Breathing , with the color of the breathing style sporting black and white streaks instead of the default blue and yellow. In the canon, Kaigaku infused his Blood Demon Art with his breathing style to further enhance its combat capabilities and lethality, it is said that the lightning strikes can create a special effect in which cracks and rends the target's flesh whilst effectively burning it in the process.
~It is said that blue flames are hotter than red-orange, so hot that it also burns the bones away, causing their victim's body to crumble gruesomely.
Azure Flame Breathing (青い炎の呼吸,Aoi Honō no kokyū?) is a demonified version of Flame Breathing, and as seen in the title, it wields azure colored fire. Nothing much is known about this breathing style and the blood demon art incorporated with it since it's a fan-made reskin and the only known pyrokinetic BDA is Nezuko's BDA (which is crimson pink) but this could possibly be a reference to Rin Okumura's Flames of Satan ability, which makes sense since Rin is technically a Hybrid (AKA a Nephilim).
Crimson Water Breathing[]
~You call that crimson water? No, no... That's blood, purely fresh blood; The blood of the innocent humans they have killed and consumed.
Crimson Water Breathing (紅い水の呼吸,Kurenai Mizu no kokyū?) or often called as Blood Breathing (血の呼吸,Chi no kokyū?, lit. Breath of Blood) is a demonified version of Water Breathing, and of course, it's self-explanatory; the color of the breathing style is crimson red instead of the normal blue. Since this is also a fan-made reskin, the Blood Demon Art incorporated with the breathing style is a mystery. But one could theorize (or if you have common sense) that the BDA infused within Water Breathing is none other than Gyutaro's Blood Sickle Art since oddly enough, it has the same color scheme as Crimson Water Breathing.
Ironically, there's a Blood Demon Art that ACTUALLY revolves around the sea and ocean, and that belongs to Gyokko. One of the Upper Moons that is yet to appear in the game.
