"Jackpot!"

-Dante's usual catchphrase

Greatsword ( () () Daiken?) is a fighting style you can get in Demon Fall as a Demon. It grants you a gigantic demon sword upon learning and you can only get rid of it by drinking a Combat Potion.

Talk to Darte at Forest Hideout, sitting near the exit, to learn this Fighting Style for Demons only. Learning this fighting style requires 100 Broken Nichirins, and you must be level 20 or above to learn the Fighting Style.

Requirements: 100 Broken Nichirins and Level 20 or above

Moves

M1(light attack): Does 21 damage and has a long startup. This move will launch you forward a little.

M2(heavy attack):

Greatsword Mastery (2 skill points): Increases swing speed of the Greatsword.

Dante Leap (4 skill points): Jump and then slam downwards with the Greatsword. (Hard to hit)

Pros:

  • Very good damage if you can get one M1 off.
  • Bad by itself, but paired with the right Demon Arts and abilities you can get solid damage.
  • Has a bigger range then normal since you launch forward when you m1.
  • The Great sword m2 throws your opponent a large distance, which can give you the advantage depending on your BDA.

Cons:

  • Every light attack will cause you to launch forwards
  • Uses a lot of Stamina.
  • Even with Greatsword Mastery, it is still the slowest Fighting Style right now.
  • Dante Leap has too much range to be used after standard M1s, but too little to be used to attack a enemy from far range.
  • Hard to do combo's.

Trivia

  • This fighting style is likely to be based off of Dante's swordsmanship techniques from the Devil May Cry series.
    • Coincidentally, the trainer of the fighting style is also Dante, just with an altered name.
    • The sword that the player is given with upon learning Greatsword is a model of the Rebellion, Dante's trademark magic sword.
    • In-game, the fighting style seems to be slow and difficult to use, whereas in the Devil May Cry games, Dante is able to perform his attacks with ease, leading to deadly combos.
    • It is unknown if the Dante Leap is an actual move in the Devil May Cry games.
      • Additionally, Dante has more techniques in his arsenal than the Demon Fall player.
