Info
Beast Breathing (
Beast Breathing is a self-taught Breathing Style by one of the main protagonists of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Inosuke Hashibira. As such, it's a crude and odd juxtaposition in comparison to many of the options available for Breathing Styles in Demonfall— especially compared to the likes of Sun Breathing, Water Breathing, etc.
How to Obtain
To learn Beast Breathing, you must go to the unnamed village close to the Slayer Corps, then run straight ahead. Inosuke will be dancing on top of a rock. After learning the Breathing Style, players will be granted with a pair of special nichirins with its hilts/handguards removed, handles wrapped in cloth (as well as its sheaths), and blade edges that are jagged— these weapons cannot be crafted, and are exclusive to Beast Breathing users.
First & Final Task: Give Inosuke 1 Green Horn, 1 Blue Horn, and 100 Meat.
Total Cost: 2000 Yen (for the Meat)
(You can get the meat at Okuyia Village for 100 yen— you get 5 each!)
Green Demon can be found in very large amounts at Entertainment District or at the Frosty Cavern located below Kokushibo NPC in Frosty Forest, the cavern’s main characteristic is that it has two big moai statues on each side. To find it you must go to the Hayakawa Village hotel's entrance, turn left and from there, go straight until you find the cavern. There is also one Slayer Mission that guides you to the Frosty Cavern. (Green demon has a 25% chance of dropping the Green Horn needed to learn Beast Breathing.)
Just like Green Demon, Blue Demon can be found in large quantities at the Entertainment District and its surroundings. (Blue Demon has a 25% chance of dropping the Blue Horn needed to learn Beast Breathing.)

Breathing Skills
- Passive - M1s hit twice, dealing 10 damage- 12 with Kendo Mastery (possibly making it worth getting, due to Beast Breathing's unique animations cancelling it's extra hit).
- Second Fang (
弐 ノ牙 Ni no kiba?) - The user dashes forward before unleashing a double horizontal cross slash outwards.
Deals 29 damage with a 25-second cooldown and consumes 40% of the breath bar. [Blockable] [Hyperarmor] [Auto-Aim]
- Third Fang (
参 ノ牙 San no kiba?) - The user performs a spinning slash attack for 3 seconds, moving forward slightly as they spin, anyone caught by this technique will be pulled in towards the whirling slashes, taking continuous damage. If used in mid-air, the user will remain in mid-air until the move ends. This could also be used not just as a combo extender, but also a life saver. As this skill could potentially save you from fall damage if used at the correct timing.
Deals 4 damage per slash (about 34 damage total) with a 36-second cooldown and consumes 50% of the breath bar. [Blockable]
- Fourth Fang (
肆 ノ牙 Shi no kiba?) - The user performs four forward slashes in quick succession, striking the target three times before unleashing a powerful fourth slash, launching them away. This technique can be redirected towards the direction where the user desires to be.
Deals 17 damage per first three slash and 24 damage final slash (75 damage if all hit) with a 45-second cooldown and consumes 40% of the breath bar. [I-frames] [Blockable]
- Fifth Fang (
伍 ノ牙 Go no kiba?) - The user leaps forward and unleashes two wide horizontal slashes, similar to Second Fang: Slice, but combined with Wind Breathing's Sixth Form: Wind Typhoon.
Deals 36 damage with a 68-second cooldown and consumes 70% of the breath bar. [I-frames] [Guard Break]
- Finishing Fang (
最 後 ノ牙 Saigo no kiba?, lit. Final Fang) - The user charges up and turns around, delivering a deadly back kick towards the target.
Deals 36 damage with a 72-second cooldown and consumes 70% of the breath bar. [Hyperarmor] [Blockable] [Auto-Execute] [Auto-Aim]

Trivia
- In the Discord server, Beast is one of the most suggested/requested Breathing Style to be implemented in the game.
- Beast Breathing doesn't have an exclusive technique for the Hashibira clan yet- only the bonus boar head that comes with the clan.
- The reason why the swords are chipped with numerous gashes within the blade's edge, is because it's purpose is to rip and tear demonic flesh like a saw.
- The origins of the swords is that Inosuke defeated two Slayers who dared to "trespass" onto his mountain; he defeated both in a battle and took their katanas as trophies, which is the reason why he only fights with dual nichirins.
- Second Fang, Third Fang, Fourth Fang and Fifth Fang share little to no similarities with their source material counter-parts, along with Finishing Fang being a completely unique move, making Beast Breathing one of the most "fanon" breathing in Demonfall.
- There are 11 total Beast Breathing forms (or Fangs) in the source material, yet only one of them is actually used.
- Inosuke is not just a proud and boastful individual, he is also a hungry person and loves to eat, this is why the player is tasked to get 100 meat.
- Before Update 2.65, Beast Breathing had icons of boar heads as stand-in icons way before the actual icons were applied in-game.
- Additionally, Beast Breathing didn't have a slayer mark until the release of Update 2.65.
- So far, the use of the Blue Demon Horns are only for Beast Breathing. It is unknown if it's going to have more use in the future.
- Beast is one of the hardest breathing style to obtain— with the exception of the 100 meat task, as the drop rate for the green horn has been decreased drastically to 25%, similar to the blue horn drop chance.
- Inosuke's breathing style is self-taught, and is distinctly derived from Wind Breathing.
- Before Fifth Fang was added, all techniques had their official names, such as Slice, Devour, and Slice 'n' Dice.
- Second Fang is actually Third Fang in the original manga/anime.
- Fifth Fang is actually Fourth Fang in the original manga/anime.
- The Third Fang may be inspired from Levi's signature spinning attack technique for Attack on Titan.
- Best paired with Kanroji clan
