Mitsuri

Mitsuri as seen in-game

"Is it okay for a girl to be this strong? I still worry that someone may ask that, as though I'm not human. In my fear, I was suppressing my strength. But not anymore. Leave this to me. I will protect everyone."

-Mitsuri Kanroji

Overview

Love Breathing's Nichirin

Love Breathing's Nichirin

Love Breathing ( (こい) () (きゅう) Koi no kokyū?) is one of the fourteen breathing styles available in Demon Fall.

To learn Love Breathing, you must find Mitsuri Kanroji somewhere in Mount Peak, looking for Rengoku. Upon learning it, you'll be granted with an exclusive Love Breathing katana that may look like a normal Custom Nichirin on the first look, but it becomes a whip-like weapon when attacking.

Please note that Kendo Agility II gives no improvement to swing speed (unlike Agility I which can allow you to obtain Lunge).

WhipLove

Love Nichirin becoming a whip-like weapon per attacks

Just like Sound Breathing, Insect Breathing, Moon Breathing and Beast Breathing, you can't craft another nichirin blade while you have this breathing.

Similar to Sound Breathing, it requires 17 skill points to fully unlock all of its techniques.

Love Breathing emphasizes on high-speed slashes and combos, and this is also obtainable as a Hybrid.

Location

  • Slow but easy way to Mitsuri *The Video Starts at the Hayakawa Horses*
  • Other method
    • Near the axe demon cave, if you look at the cave from the outside and turn left.
    • You will have to jump down and mitsuri is on a lower platform. *Take caution: drop is very high!*

Obtaining the Breathing

First task: Give Mitsuri 20,000 yen.

Second task: Defeat the Axe Demon and grab his collar.

Skills

Sound Skill Tree

This is what Love Breathing's skill tree looks like, it's similar to Sound Breathing and resembles a heart.

Passive - Faster Healing and more M1 range. Unlike Beast, Sound, and Insect Breathing, it can get another M1 from Kendo Mastery despite the fact that it has a different nichirin.

  • First Form: Shivers of First Love ( (いち) (かた) (はつ) (こい) のわななき Ichi no kata: Hatsukoi no Wananaki?) - The user performs four forward whip slashes in quick succession, similar to Beast Breathing's Fourth Fang: Slice 'n' Dice.

Deals 25 damage with a 30 second cooldown. Uses 15% of your breathing bar. [Hyperarmor][Blockable]

Deals 25 damage with a 40 second cooldown. Uses 45% of your breathing bar. [Blockable]

  • Third Form: Catlove Shower ( (さん) (かた) (こい) (ねこ) しぐれ San no kata: Koi Neko Shigure?) - The user backflips into the air and releases a three-way projectile of slashes.

Deals 40 Damage with a 50 second cooldown. Uses 70% of your breathing bar. [Guard Break] [I-frames]

  • Fifth Form: Healthy Life ( () (かた) (おう) (きゅ) (しょ) () Go no kata: Ōkyū Shochi?, lit. Fifth Form: First Aid) - The user heals allies in front of them. (The heal isn't instant, it makes health regeneration faster)

Heals 70 Health with a 1minute and 55 second cooldown. Uses 80% of your breathing bar. [Regen]

  • Sixth Form: Rainbow ( (ろく) (かた) (にじ) Roku no kata: Niji?) - The user dashes forwards, creating a series of pink and heart strikes, akin to that of Beneficent Radiance.

Deals 25 Damage with a 33 second cooldown. Uses 60% of your breathing bar. [Blockable]

Combos

If you have Kendo Mastery, add 1 M1 for every combo.

Lunge > 3 M1s > Love Pangs > 3 M1s > Shivers of First Love/Rainbow (any further is optional) > Rush > 3 M1s > Shotgun/Final M1/M2

Lunge > 3 M1s > Shivers of First Love > Rush(skip if close enough to the opponent) > 3 M1s > Rainbow > Rush > 3 M1s > Shotgun/Final M1/M2

Lunge > 3 M1s > Shivers of First Love > Rush(skip if close enough to the opponent) > 3 M1s > Catlove Shower

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Proficient with combos
  • Has a healing move
  • Decent to high damage
  • Close to average range
  • Third form is high damage guard break
  • Faster regen speed as passive
  • Higher m1 and m2 range + damage than simple swords(can hit from behind)
  • First move costs barely any breathing

Cons

  • Requires a high amount of grinding for yen
  • No iframe moves but has a healing technique as compensation
  • Not easy to get if you’re just starting off
  • Healing move cannot heal you
  • Only has one guard breaker(Third form)
  • 1st form's attacks may be a bit difficult to deliver
  • Third form is hard to hit in PVP
  • If camera to close to character moves can lag
  • Less M1 damage.
  • Healthy Life does not heal user, making it useless in 1v1s.

Trivia

  • Love Breathing is a derivative of Flame Breathing, so it would make sense that Mitsuri should be in White Peak.
  • Mitsuri has high food expenses in the canon, so it would make sense for her to make the player pay 20K Yen.
  • Coincidentally, this breathing style was released AFTER the trailer for Swordsmith Village Arc was announced.
  • Kendo Mastery adds you an m1 as in other breathings. (except Beast, Sound and Insect)
  • The slayer mark isn't how it appears in the manga, in game it's on the right cheek, in the manga it's on the neck. This is because Roblox avatars have no neck.
